poem eight: sea lunes

the shifting border
between waves, clouds and sand
where she searches

for lost things –
salt wind and foam-kissed stones
lead her away

not far enough –
her heart looks out beyond
reach of feet.

There was a prompt round about day four to write a lune. I’ve linked three lune-like stanzas to make a poem about the sea. I miss the sea again. The urge to throw everything away and become a pirate is strong.
