poem fourteen and poem fifteen: two haiku

Sunday

Wind whips rain and sun,
warm around my bare ankles
in the afternoon.

Monday

In under an hour
the sun burned our winter coats
back to the wardrobe.

*Sunday’s poem is late because yesterday I went to my friend’s birthday lunch and drinks. Today’s poem is short because the kids are back in school and I need to do my university work (which is – strangely enough, for a poet on a creative writing degree – more poems). So in the name of time management: two quick observations about weather.
